The beauty about life is in the living.
There is opportunity to learn about ourselves, everywhere, everyday, all the time.

We have opportunities of abundant growth, curiosity, even transformation, everyday but it can be difficult to see through the veil of shadows. Yet, this veil holds so much incredible information about us, who we are, why we do what we do, all through our unconscious and subconscious self.

Being a psychotherapist for over two decades, I’ve found I do my best work when I work with clients willing to explore the here and now and what’s under the surface, looking at deeper meanings, attachments and emotions a kind of a one-foot-in-each-conscious-and-subconscious-basket type of exploration.

Most often this looks like asking deep, meaningful and contemplative questions with an ability and openness to entertain new narratives, all while holding a gentle, caring, and incredibly compassionate, trauma-informed and trauma sensitive appraoch. The works of Carl Jung, Alfred Adler, Carl Rogers, Jon Kabbat Zin, Brené Brown, Bell Hooks, the Gottman Method, Sue Johnson, Eugene Gendlin, and so many other psychological, spiritual and even theological perspectives have had a profound impact on the work I do with individuals.

I am an empathically-attuned, systems therapist that uses an explorative, curious and existential lens most often and have found a few tools that additionally help my clients identify their strengths and quickly point them in the direction of growth and change. I help men and women find their connection to their Self. The following are a list of lenses that have had a profound impact on the work I do with my clients:

  • The Enneagram

  • Meyers-Briggs

  • Daring Greatly™ - the shame and vulnerability research and work of Brené Brown, PhD

  • Attachment Styles

  • Self-Compassion and Mindfulness influenced by Tara Brach

  • Mixed media tools and art

  • Eastern-Western psychology

  • Somatic Awareness like Focusing and Quieting the Body-Mind

I work with individuals in the context of individual therapy, individual coaching and within the holding container of couples work as well.
